In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up store in New York Metropolis, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and shortly advanced to include what was then one of many latest and most fashionable technological improvements: the wristwatch.
Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television adverts had been declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." Within the Fifties, persevering with its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping know-how in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted to be used by NASA computer systems and a Bulova timer was even positioned on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have saved official time aboard Air Pressure One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.
At present, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in know-how and design, offering a diverse assortment of beautiful precision timepieces for each occasion.
Stainless-steel meets just about scratch proof ceramic in this bold girls' sports and magnificence chronograph design. A crisp white diamond dial and white bezel ring allow a seamless move from case to bracelet and presents an enthralling mix of fashion and modern watch making technology.
